In 2006 Psy-Sci founded Studio Avant to curate art projects. Psy-Sci was an artist and project manager for many compilations associated with Soulseek Records, a netlabel with music and art from the filesharing application's artist community. Needing a place to release things not associated with Soulseek. It has evolved as psy-sci's capabilities expanded, it aims to serve a double purpose of being a gallery and digital agency.
